You don’t have to keep holding it all.
About Me
Hi, I’m Michelle.
Therapist, Consultant, speaker, and professional holder-of-space for people who are sick of being the strong one.
I built the Woven Root because I got tired of pretending that burnout could be solved with a scented candle and a 10-minute meditation app. (It can’t. You’ve already tried that.)
I’ve lived the reality of parenting kids with complex needs, navigating broken systems, and showing up to hold everyone else while quietly unraveling. And I’ve worked with hundreds of people doing the same—helpers, healers, caregivers, and cycle-breakers who are exhausted by their own invisibility.
Here’s what I believe:
You can be incredibly strong and still need support.
You can love the people you care for deeply and still feel like you’re drowning.
You don’t have to break to deserve a break.
I’m not here to give you homework or pep talks in disguise. I’m here to offer real connection, practical insight, and space that feels safe enough for you to lay it all down. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and a no-nonsense, kind-hearted, fiercely human approach to healing. (Also, probably a little sarcasm. You’ve been warned.)
I specialize in working with caregivers, foster and adoptive parents, professionals in helping roles, and people navigating the tender terrain of identity, grief, and burnout. I also consult with organizations and speak to rooms full of people who are used to taking care of everyone else.
When I’m not doing this work, you’ll find me reading five books at once, walking with my kids, eating cheese and crackers in my care for five minutes of peace, or trying (and failing) to become a morning person.
